Hello! 12AX7 is a dual triode model with specific characteristics, just like 12AT7 and 12AU7. The transconductance and gain coefficient should be approximately the same across all manufacturers.

If you're looking for different characteristics, you'll need different tubes or a different operating mode. Swapping one brand of 12AX7 for another won't solve the problem of getting significantly more gain.
